liberating enlightenment
«the premise: a quixotic young man progresses from learned romanticism to a failed exploration of his sexuality and his life's direction. in short turnaround, he comes to understand that the point is pointlessness, and he breaches the surface, climbs to the top and dives into the abyss, blinded and numb.»

understanding the lack of a point, certainly one externally ascribed, is indeed a turning point. it is an enlightening, liberating revelation and certainly not reason for despair. to despair is melodramatic self-indulgence and the wrong choice. probably the result of inexperience, ignorance, arrogance and significantly high degree of insecurity. it would be the choice of the truly weak.
