«USrael»... lapsus mentis?
i was just editing an upcoming post regarding the wall of shame israel has built partially in palestine and how the US oppsed the UN resolution demanding its removal and noticed i had mispelled israel and written
USrael... the discomforting term immediately conveyed tremendous meaning even though i'd never heard nor read it anywhere before. googling the word confirmed it wasn't a neologism i'd just coined. it also underscored the idea that it is indeed our continued, unchecked, inbalanced support of israel and its policies of expansion and illegal occupation which partially fuels islamist hatred and terrosrism against the US.
