less than 30 percent of lowest-income households have access to the internet in the US. it's great news indeed to learn that the problem is being addressed.nonprofit technology group one economy corporation is leading a coalition which today launched a national effort to encourage builders of low-income housing to include broadband internet connections in new building projects. the campaign is called Bring IT Home.
the goal of One Economy is to use Bring IT Home to help the residents of low-income housing learn about and address other issues affecting poor communities, including health care, jobs, and crime.
